Temperature Wave

New ECONAVI with Temperature Wave incorporates a unique pattern of Temperature Shifting Control to save more energy efficiently without sacrificing comfort. This new approach was developed based on an understanding in Thermal Physiology; the human body adapts physiologically to changes in temperature. When the set temperature was increased and held at constant, the human body displayed a periodical physiological response in approximately 60-minute cycles. Taking advantage of this understanding in Thermal Physiology, the Panasonic Research and Development Centre developed a Rhythmic Temperature Control pattern which would offset thermal physiological response.
The result of the experiment showed that thermal sensation was maintained within a comfortable range*(* The thermal condition of which PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) is within -0.5 to +0.5 is recommended as comfortable condition (in the category B) by International Standard EN ISO 7730.) even though the average set temperature was moderately increased.Hence, when ECONAVI detects human presence and low activity level, the Temperature Wave adapts to this rhythmic temperature control to save more energy without sacrificing comfort.
